“Our dual-chamber system preserves ingredient potency and ensures optimal efficacy upon application,” the brand states. The bottle features a customizable dial that allows users to tailor dosage and coverage.

The Innovative Formula

Clarins Double Serum contains 87% skincare ingredients—and it’s powered by 9 plant extracts and 5 active molecules. “At the heart of the formula is turmeric extract, the signature ingredient,” the brand states. “It is known for supporting the skin’s five vital functions and helping maintain a youthful appearance.” 

Other ingredients are aloe vera extract, horse chestnut flower extract, green banana extract, peptides, and more. It also contains ingredients selected for their light-refraction properties—glycerin, squalane, and illuminating microcrystals. 

Two-thirds of Clarins Double Serum Foundation formula is makeup, and one-third is serum. But—it’s not just a blend of foundation and serum, the brand says.

The formula includes two key innovations:

Clarins Advanced Ultra Radiance Amplifier—the brand’s proprietary technology. It claims to “amplify light diffusion and reflection off the skin’s surface for an instant glow.”

Stabilized papain—a 100% pure molecule derived from papaya fruit. It’s a gentle enzymatic exfoliator that claims to deliver lasting luminosity. Clarins says it boosts light reflection, smooths dull skin, evenly reflects light, and enhances long-term radiance on bare skin.
